Sheriff Brian C. Hill announces a 59-year-old male has died as a result of injuries sustained during an incident at a local business in the 1900 block of NW US 24 Highway this morning.

On Saturday, September 24, 2022, shortly after 8am, deputies were dispatched to a medical call at the Goodyear Plant in the 1900 block of NW US 24 Highway. Upon arrival, deputies learned that a 59-year-old male sustained life threatening injuries while working. The Soldier Township Fire Department and American Medical Response (AMR - Topeka) responded to the scene as well.

The male was transported by AMR to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

This incident is still under investigation.
